What information do I need to run a check?

Just the vehicle's registration number (number plate). That's enough to pull the full report.

It's a good idea to also have the VIN (chassis number) on hand so you can manually cross-check it against the number on the car itself — this confirms the registration hasn't been swapped onto a different vehicle.
