Terms & Conditions — Car Report Check

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Car Report Check website and services (the "Service"). By ordering a report or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Who we are

The Service is provided under the name Car Report Check. For support or enquiries, contact support@carreportcheck.co.uk.

3. Our service

We provide single-vehicle reports for UK-registered vehicles. Reports are generated by querying authorised government APIs and third-party data providers using the vehicle registration mark (VRM) you supply.

Reports are for informational purposes only and rely on external data sources. We do not guarantee completeness or availability of third party data. See the Disclaimer page for more details.

4. Ordering and payment

All purchases are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. By placing an order you authorise Lemon Squeezy to process payment on our behalf. You agree to any additional terms presented by Lemon Squeezy during checkout.

5. Non-refundable reports

Reports are non-refundable once generated. By placing an order you acknowledge and accept that the report will be produced immediately after payment and delivered by email, and that we incur costs from the underlying data providers when the report is generated.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. If the report is defective because we have no legal right to supply it, or contains material errors caused by our processing, you may have remedies under UK law (for example the Consumer Rights Act and related digital content regulations).

6. Delivery

Reports are emailed to the address you provide at checkout. It is your responsibility to provide an accurate email address. If an email is not delivered due to an incorrect address, we may, at our discretion, re-send the report for an additional fee.

7. Accuracy and limitations

We use reasonable skill and care when generating reports, but the Service depends on third-party data. We do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from incorrect, incomplete, or unavailable data provided by third parties.

You must not rely on the report as a substitute for professional inspection, or for making legal or financial decisions without independent verification.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the site, including report formatting and templates, is the intellectual property of Car Report Check unless otherwise stated. You may view and download reports for personal use only and must not redistribute or resell our reports without prior written permission.

9. Third-party services and links

The Service may integrate or link to third-party services (including DVLA/DVSA and other data providers). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third parties.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Car Report Check's aggregate liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service is limited to the purchase price paid for the report. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Consumer rights and statutory remedies

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK. If you believe the Service has not been supplied with reasonable care and skill, or a digital report is defective, you may have statutory remedies such as repair, replacement, or price reduction under UK law.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will publish the updated Terms on the site with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
